The stage is already set for what promises to be an interesting match-up. This is easily a case of David vs Goliath, as while El Kanemi are playing in the second tier of Nigerian football (NNL), Raja Casablanca are giants of the Moroccan league, with 13 league titles to their name. They have also won the CAF Confederations Cup and CAF Champions League multiple times.

The fact that El Kanemi’s only social media presence is on Facebook just shows the gulf between the two teams. Nonetheless, the Desert Warriors will be positive about getting a result today.

Recall that in the last round, they defeated UDIB of Guinea-Bissau 3-1 (3-0 in Nigeria for the first leg). They will be looking to do something similar against a Raja Casablanca team that got a bye in the last round, thereby making this their first game in the competition this year.

El Kanemi vs Raja Casablanca is not just a fixture for the El-Kanemi fans. It is also one that Nigerian fans will have their eyes on, since they are the only Nigerian team left in the competition this season. Fans who cannot make it to the stadium can also watch the game online.

Confirmed XIs

Coach of Raja Casablanca Jemez Paco has gone for a 4-2-3-1 lineup today. The Moroccans will be full of confidence today, due to their pedigree and quality. So they will want to be on the front foot.
