What to expect from El-Kanemi Warriors vs Raja Casablanca

El-Kanemi Warriors enter the tie after overcoming UDIB in the opening round, with Nnamdi Mejuobi scoring twice in the first leg to help the Nigerian side progress 3-1 on aggregate.

The result gives them some continental momentum, although Raja represent a considerably more experienced opponent.

The Moroccan club have won the CAF Confederation Cup twice, in 2018 and 2021, and will be determined to return to the group stage. Their exemption from the first preliminary round means they enter the tie without having played a competitive continental match this season.

El-Kanemi’s priority will be to secure an advantage in Ikenne before travelling to Morocco for the return leg on Friday, October 23, at the Mohammed V Complex in Casablanca.

A positive home result could give the NNL side a genuine chance of progressing.
