Former Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has showered praise on young talent Ethan Nwaneri, describing him as a player brimming with confidence and a fearless attitude on the pitch.
Nwaneri made an impressive appearance in Arsenal's thrilling 4-2 victory over Leicester City, where he displayed a spark of brilliance as a rising star in the Premier League.
In a match that was still locked at 2-2, Nwaneri was introduced in the 85th minute, and immediately made his presence felt.
The young forward nearly scored with a powerful shot that was skilfully saved by the opposing goalkeeper.
A bright future ahead for Nwaneri
According to Walcott, himself a teenage prodigy in his playing days, the 17-year-old could be the Premier League's next big thing, as his ability to control the ball and make decisive moves even under pressure is what makes him stand out.
Walcott praised Nwaneri's impressive skills on BBC's Match of the Day, noting his fearless nature when facing defenders.
“The great thing about him is that the first words that come to me are fearless and confident on the ball,” Walcott said.
“He’s a player that has been highly regarded in the academy and again he goes on the outside and on the inside, likes to commit defenders. This man has got a very good career ahead of him, that’s for sure.”
His recent performances not only reveal his skill set but also hint at his potential to become a game-changer for the Gunners. With a knack for creating opportunities, Nwaneri's ability to draw defenders and generate scoring chances positions him as a valuable asset for the team at his age.
