Femi Azeez has taken one of the less predictable routes to the Premier League, Afrik-Foot reports.

The Nigerian winger was released by Watford as a teenager, dropped into non-league football and had to rebuild his career with Northwood, Wealdstone and Hanwell Town. Five years after joining Reading, he was playing in the Championship with Millwall. By September 2026, he had signed for Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion on a four-year contract.

His rise also brought a fast start with the Super Eagles. On his Nigeria debut against Zimbabwe in the 2026 Unity Cup, Azeez scored twice in a 2-0 win.
