Femi Azeez Brighton salary: How much Super Eagles star could earn after £15m move

Femi Azeez has taken a major step in his career after completing a move from Millwall to Brighton & Hove Albion on the final day of the 2026 summer transfer window, Afrik-Foot reports.

The Super Eagles winger joined Brighton on a four-year contract after the Premier League club agreed an initial £12.5m fee, with performance-related payments capable of taking the package beyond £15m. The deal was completed shortly after midnight on 2 September after both clubs submitted a deal sheet before the original 11pm deadline.

Brighton have not officially disclosed Azeez’s salary. The club confirmed only that the 25-year-old signed a four-year deal.

The available figures, however, suggest Azeez is set for a significant pay rise in the Premier League, but there is no verified public evidence that allows his exact Brighton wages or guaranteed four-year earnings to be stated as fact.

What is known about the Femi Azeez contract?

The confirmed part of the Femi Azeez contract is its length. Brighton have signed him for four years, taking his deal to June 2030. The transfer itself is worth £12.5m initially and can rise beyond that if the agreed add-ons are achieved.

A salary estimate from SalarySport puts Azeez’s Brighton wages at £8,300 a week, or about £431,600 a year. That would work out at roughly £1.73m over four years, before bonuses and other possible payments.

Femi Azeez wages compared with Millwall

Azeez’s reported Millwall salary was considerably lower. Capology lists his estimated Millwall pay at £7,000 per week, equal to £364,000 a year, excluding bonuses.

That means the reported Brighton figure of £8,300 a week would represent an increase of £1,300 per week, or about £67,600 across a full year.

His move also carries a different financial meaning for Millwall. The Lions signed Azeez from Reading for about £1m in 2024. Two years later, Brighton agreed an initial £12.5m for him, with the package potentially passing £15m. It became a record sale for Millwall.

Azeez enters the Premier League after scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists in 37 games for Millwall during the 2025-26 Championship season. He was also selected for the PFA Championship Team of the Year and made his Nigeria debut under Eric Chelle, scoring twice against Zimbabwe before assisting against Jamaica.

Azeez now has a four-year Premier League contract and the chance to turn his strong Championship season into a much larger career earnings path.
