Femi Azeez’s future at Millwall has entered another important stage, but manager Alex Neil has made it clear that there is no sign of an immediate exit, Afrik-Foot reports.
The 25-year-old winger is attracting interest from Brighton & Hove Albion, Hull City and clubs in Europe. Yet Millwall still control the situation, with Azeez under contract until June 2028.
Here are five things Millwall fans should watch before the transfer window closes.

Azeez’s hamstring injury
Azeez’s fitness is the first issue to watch. The Nigeria international started Millwall’s opening two fixtures of the season, but he was taken off after only 30 minutes against Bristol City on August 15. Millwall still won 2-0, with Josh Coburn scoring both goals.
Neil said the injury is a Grade 1B hamstring problem and should keep Azeez out for about one or two weeks. That means clubs interested in him will have to assess his fitness before making a final move.
Brighton’s interest could become serious
Brighton have been linked with Azeez for several months, but the latest development gives the story fresh life. Southwark News reports that Brighton have expressed interest in the winger. Earlier reports also linked Azeez with Brighton after his excellent 2025-26 Championship campaign. He scored 11 goals and supplied seven assists in 35 league starts.

Brighton’s need for another wide player could make this one to watch closely as deadline day approaches.
Hull City know exactly what Azeez can do
Hull’s interest carries extra weight because the Tigers have already faced Azeez in high-pressure matches.
Millwall finished third in the Championship last season but lost their play-off semi-final 2-0 on aggregate to Hull. Azeez started both matches. Hull then beat Middlesbrough 1-0 in the final to earn promotion to the Premier League.
Reports have since placed Hull near the front of the race. That makes sense from a football point of view: Azeez already knows the Championship and has shown he can produce goals and assists at that level.

European interest adds another twist
This is no longer only a Premier League story. Neil confirmed that European clubs are also interested in Azeez. He did not name those clubs, so fans should be careful with reports that attach specific European teams to the winger without strong evidence.
A move outside England could become attractive if a club offers Azeez regular football and a clear role. His performances for Millwall and Nigeria have increased his profile. He scored twice against Zimbabwe on his Nigeria debut and later assisted in the 3-0 win over Jamaica.
Will Millwall receive an offer they cannot reject?
This could decide everything. Neil said there are no negotiations that suggest Azeez will leave immediately, but he also admitted that interest is well known and that the situation could change before the window closes.
Millwall also have a strong negotiating position because Azeez has a contract through June 2028. His 2025-26 season, which produced 11 Championship goals and seven assists, gives the Lions a strong case for demanding a major fee.
The key question is simply whether a club will offer enough money to make Millwall change their position. Until that happens, Azeez is still a Millwall player.
