According to a recent report from Turkey, Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahçe are set to enter the race for Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan at their rivals, Galatasaray.
The Super Eagles forward has emerged as a revelation in the Super Lig since his season-long loan move from Napoli in September.
Osimhen has made seven goal contributions for the Turkish champions in seven games across all competitions, scoring four goals and providing three assists, while averaging 69 minutes per game.
Fenerbahçe, eager to strengthen their attack, are reportedly keen to challenge Galatasaray for the Nigerian forward’s signature.
Fenerbahçe in talks for Osimhen amid interest from Galatasaray, Chelsea, PSG
According to Turkish outlet Neoxmedya, Fenerbahçe have authorized Mirsad Türkcan to meet with Napoli's sporting director, Giovanni Manna, to discuss a potential deal for Osimhen.
It was also recently reported that Galatasaray are keen to extend Osimhen's stay at the club beyond this season and are prepared to meet Napoli's valuation of the player.
Although the former Lille Man's loan agreement with the Turkish club is set for a season, it includes a break clause that enables him to depart in January if any of his preferred European clubs show interest and are prepared to meet his buyout clause of €75 million (£63.2 million).
Before his move to Turkey, the 25-year-old was widely linked with transfers to French giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), two-time European champions Chelsea, as well as several clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
There are still hushed talks suggesting that Chelsea and PSG are keen to add Osimhen to their roster.
