The 25-year-old believes his appearances this season have put him within reckoning for a call to the Nigerian National team.

“Every player wants to play on the biggest stage for his country. It’s a dream come true,” the former Estoril attacker said in an interview with Oma Akatugba.

“If I get called up, I would be the happiest person on earth.

“I believe the time is really close. I just want to keep working hard, my time will come.

The fleet-footed winger also paid tribute to Super Eagles stars including Victor Boniface, Paul Onuachu, and particularly Victor Osimhen, whom he described as a major source of inspiration.

“Osimhen is the biggest player in Africa. Everybody looks up to him,” he said.

“He’s a fighter and always wants to win. I really admire him, and I hope in the future I can be his partner in the national team,” Bamidele concluded.
