French World Cup winner urges Victor Osimhen to join ‘better’ leagues

Former France and Chelsea centre-back Frank Leboeuf has admitted he’d love to see Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen in the English Premier League or in the Spanish La Liga, Afrik Foot reports.

The 27-year-old continually troubled Liverpool’s backline in his side’s 1-0 win against the Reds at RAMS Park last night.

While he didn’t get on the scoresheet, the ex-Napoli man provided the assist for Mario Lemina’s goal to give Galatasaray an advantage heading into the away leg at Anfield.

After a brilliant display in the UEFA Champions League this season, Leboeuf believes Osimhen’s talent should be marketed in bigger leagues.

“I would love to see. “I would love to see Osimhen one day in the Premier League or the La Liga,” the 1998 FIFA World Cup winner said on the Morning Football show with ESPN.

“I think, with all due respect to the Turkish Super Lig, I think Osimhen deserves to play in the best leagues in the world, so that would be great,” the 58-year-old concluded.

Osimhen will be looking to put Liverpool to the death next week in a bid to help Galatasaray reach their first UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash since 2014.
