Fulham are prepared to activate their option to sign Samuel Chukwueze on a permanent deal from AC Milan, Afrik Foot reports.

The Premier League side are understood to be keen on retaining the Nigerian winger after an impressive loan spell, with the €24 million (approximately ₦37 billion) buy option now set to be triggered.

Chukwueze has enjoyed a resurgence since arriving at Craven Cottage, delivering performances that have respectfully eclipsed what he achieved in Italy with Milan.

The Super Eagles star has been a regular contributor, either as a starter or an impact substitute, and has produced key moments throughout the campaign.

One of his standout displays came against Manchester City, where he netted a brace, while he also played a decisive role in a 2-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion.

Chukwueze set for Fulham stay

A permanent place in the Fulham squad this summer came into question in the winter transfer window after Marco Silva’s side splashed £27m to secure Oscar Bobb from Manchester City.

The club’s coach played it down at the time, but it now appears there will be three Nigerians at Craven Cottage next season.

As per Gazzetta Italy, Fulham have decided to activate their purchase option for Samuel Chukwueze, bringing €24m to the Milan coffers.

His contribution of three goals and four assists in seven games has done enough to convince the Fulham board that he’s a worthy investment.

Chukwueze has helped Fulham in their chase for a finish in the European spots this season.

The Cottagers are currently ninth on the English Premier League table, six points outside of the top five clubs.
