Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray could abandon their pursuit of Super Eagles defender Emmanuel Fernandez, Afrik-Foot reports.

​Fernandez has attracted interest from several top sides in Europe after an impressive debut campaign with Rangers.

The 24-year-old only joined the Gers last year, but he established himself as a key player for the club, featuring in 36 games across all competitions.

​Fernandez stood out due to his impressive technical ability, aerial dominance, and tackling. As a result, clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal, and Everton have been keeping tabs on the Nigerian defender, but none of them has tabled a bid just yet.

​Meanwhile, Galatasaray have also been linked with the young defender. They need him to replace their star, Davinson Sanchez, who has been linked with Como and will likely make the move.

​According to Transfer Feed, Galatasaray have picked up interest in Belgian defender Arthur Theate. The 26-year-old center-back is currently on the books of Eintracht Frankfurt and was at the World Cup with Belgium before their elimination.
