Record Turkish Super Lig Champions Galatasaray are keeping tabs on Super Eagles and Club Brugge midfielder, Afrik Foot reports.
Former Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has been at Galatasaray since 2022, and his contract at RAMS Park runs out in the summer of 2028.
However, the Uruguayan has interest from Boca Juniors, a team that is believed to be Torreira’s dream club.

Galatasaray eye Raphael Onyedika as Torreira’s replacement
The former Atletico Madrid midfielder has played 173 games for Okan Buruk’s side, the most of any among the seven clubs he’s played for in his career.
As per Turkish outlet Yeni Akit, Galatasaray are already planning to shape their squad for next season, particularly with the aim of prospering in the Champions League.
While the CimBom hierarchy wants Torreira to stay, they’re well aware of his love for Boca Juniors and are well prepared for an exit, in case it comes up.

According to the report, Onyedika is one of the midfielders on Galatasaray’s list to replace Torreira.
The Turkish Champions had agreed on personal terms with the 25-year-old last summer, but Club Brugge failed to sanction a deal as both clubs disagreed in their valuation of the player.
However, things could change this summer. The AFCON 2025 Bronze medallist enters into the final year of his contract in July, and stands the risk of walking for free in 2027, a situation Club Brugge will want to avoid.

Club Brugge have now placed Raphael Onyedika on their summer sales list, looking to wave off the Nigerian at the end of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
