Gift Orban Amedspor contract revealed: How much will Super Eagles invitee earn?

Gift Orban will earn €1 million during his spell at Amedspor, with club president Nahit Eren revealing the financial details of the Nigerian striker’s loan deal from Hoffenheim, Afrik-Foot reports.

According to details published by FutbolArena from Eren’s comments, Amedspor paid €500,000 for the loan and have agreed a €3 million mandatory purchase clause if Orban scores 10 goals.

The contract puts a clear target on the 24-year-old forward’s goals, with his scoring form already taking him close to the mark after six Turkish Super Lig matches.

Gift Orban’s goals could turn the loan into a permanent deal

Orban joined Amedspor in July after a difficult spell at Hoffenheim and loan spells at Lyon and Verona. However, the Nigerian forward has quickly become one of the most productive forwards in the Turkish top flight.

Orban has registered seven goals and two assists in only six Super Lig appearances, with the Super Eagles invitee playing 418 minutes and starting four of those matches.

His first league goal came on 31 August, when he scored in the 90th minute to give Amedspor a 2-1 victory over Trabzonspor at Diyarbakır Stadyumu.

He then scored twice against Kasımpaşa on 6 September, before producing his most spectacular performance against Başakşehir one week later.

Orban scored in the 52nd, 56th and 75th minutes as Amedspor defeated Başakşehir 5-0 in Diyarbakır, taking his league tally to six goals.

His latest goal came against Beşiktaş on 20 September, when he opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a long-range strike from about 25 metres. He then set up Dia Saba for Amedspor’s second goal in the 22nd minute as the newly promoted side won 3-2.

That result sent Amedspor to the top of the Super Lig with 13 points after six matches, while Orban moved to seven goals and two assists.

The Nigerian striker now needs three more goals to reach the 10-goal trigger stated in the contract details released by Eren.

If Orban reaches that mark, Amedspor will be required to complete the €3 million purchase under the reported agreement. If he finishes below 10 goals, the mandatory purchase condition would not be activated based on the terms disclosed.
