His consistent performances have earned him a prominent place in the team, and he has emerged as one of Hull City’s standout players this season. His impressive form is also reflected in his position among the club’s highest-rated players.

What next for Ajayi?

Semi Ajayi has made an impressive start to the campaign, and his average rating of 7.03 places him fourth among Hull City’s highest-rated players. His regular involvement and consistent performances have made him an important part of the team as they adjust to life back in the Premier League.

The Nigerian defender will be keen to maintain that level of performance as the season progresses. Continuing to deliver solid displays at the back could help him retain his starting place and strengthen his position within the team.

During the September international break, Ajayi also featured for Nigeria in their matches against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau. The Super Eagles secured a win over Madagascar but suffered a defeat to Guinea-Bissau, putting a major dent on their hopes of qualifying for the 2027 AFCON tournament.

At club level, Hull City have recorded two wins, four draws and two defeats in their opening eight league matches and they sit 10th in the table after drawing 1-1 with Brentford last weekend.
