Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has emerged as one of the most sought-after goalkeepers in the summer transfer market, Afrik Foot reports.
The 26-year-old enjoyed arguably his best campaign in the Serie A last season, keeping 10 clean sheets and conceding just 32 goals as Udinese secured a top-half finish.
His performances have attracted interest from Juventus, who are actively searching for a new goalkeeper, while clubs in the Premier League are also monitoring his situation.

According to Tutto Mercato, Juventus have added Okoye to their shortlist after encountering complications in their pursuit of Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez.
The report adds that Udinese have placed a valuation of around €15m on the Germany-born Nigerian goalkeeper, the same figure Juventus are currently trying to negotiate for Martínez.
What Juventus and Premier League clubs know about Maduka Okoye
Okoye’s rise at Udinese has been built on consistency and resilience. After difficult spells at Watford and Fortuna Düsseldorf earlier in his career, the former Sparta Rotterdam goalkeeper has found stability in Italy, where he has developed into one of the best goalkeepers in the Italian top-flight.

Speaking recently about his future, Okoye made it clear he remains grounded despite the growing interest.
“I am really very happy at Udinese,” he told Transfermarkt.
“Also the peace and routine I found here. Of course, I still have goals in my career, but currently my head is completely at Udinese. I enjoy it without thinking too much about the future.”
He also acknowledged the interest from bigger clubs, admitting it serves as motivation.
It is a good push for me as a person to know that you are in demand and that one or the other club is on the list,” Okoye continued.
“However, I leave this to my advisors, where I am in outstanding hands with Gabriele Giuffrida and Co. That’s their part and I have absolute confidence in their work.
That calmness may be one of the reasons clubs like Juventus are seriously considering him. At 26, he combines experience with room for further development, making him a more affordable option than some of Europe’s established elite goalkeepers.
He was also tipped to be Yann Sommer’s replacement at Inter Milan last season, but the 2010 treble winners opted against pursuing that interest.

Why €15m may prove a bargain for Juventus or Premier League sides
For Juventus, Okoye represents a lower-risk alternative to Martínez. He already understands Italian football, eliminating adaptation concerns, and his reflexes, command of the box, and distribution fit the demands of modern elite football.
For Premier League clubs, the attraction is slightly different. Okoye has already spent time in England through Nigeria’s international exposure, and his profile suits clubs looking for long-term competition in goal rather than an immediate superstar signing.
The bigger picture is what this means for Nigeria. With Stanley Nwabali still without a settled club situation, and competition for the Super Eagles’ number one shirt heating up, a move to Juventus would strengthen Okoye’s position as first-choice in Eric Chelle’s squad.

Playing Champions League football week in, week out would elevate him into a bracket no Nigerian goalkeeper has occupied consistently since Vincent Enyeama at Lille OSC.
At €15m, Udinese may see it as fair value, but whoever signs the 21-cap Super Eagles goalkeeper this summer is getting an absolute steal.
