Report: Manchester United-linked Wilfred Ndidi set for England return as Besiktas make transfer decision

Published on by

Turkish Süper Lig club Besiktas has decided to allow Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi to leave, as a potential return to England looms, Afrik-Foot reports.

Ndidi spent the better part of his career playing for Leicester City in the Premier League, totaling almost nine years in England.

There were periods when the 29-year-old midfielder was considered unplayable. This form earned him links to several top clubs in Europe, most notably Manchester United.

However, none of those negotiations ever materialized. Last summer, the rumors resurfaced when the Super Eagles star eventually moved to Besiktas.

Even so, in recent months, Ndidi has once again been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United.

Meanwhile, since these rumors began, the Black Eagles have maintained an adamant front regarding a possible sale. However, it appears they are now prepared to budge.

Besiktas Willing To Part Ways With Wilfred Ndidi

According to a fresh report from Kartal Record, Besiktas is preparing to part ways with Wilfred Ndidi this summer if they get a bid north of €10 million

Although Ndidi has been impactful this season, Besiktas would be happy to turn a profit on him. Recall that they paid only €8 million to finalize the deal from Leicester last year.

The Premier League is believed to be the most likely destination, especially since he spent the majority of his career in England and most top-flight English clubs can afford the fee.

Besiktas plays Rizespor in their final game of the season on Friday, and it could very well be Ndidi’s last match for the club.
