Former Super Eagles and Middlesbrough midfielder John Obi Mikel has urged Chelsea to go all out for Aston Villa and England midfielder Morgan Rogers, Afrik Foot reports.
The 23-year-old has scored eight goals and provided five assists in the English Premier League this season, guiding Villa to a potential Champions League finish.
While the goals have dried up in recent weeks, one in the last ten games across all competititons, Mikel Obi believes Rogers has what it takes to elevate Chelsea’s attack.

Mikel Obi urges Chelsea to sign Morgan Rogers
The Blues have blown hot and cold this season, particularly since hiring Liam Rosenior, and the shambolic 2-8 loss to Paris Saint-Germain didn’t add any glamour to his reputation.
Mikel was a core part of one of the best Chelsea squads of all time, but has been left frustrated with the inconsistencies in the current side.
The AFCON 2013 winner believes a player like Rogers can make the Blues a title-challenging club.

“I hear the stories about Dele Alli, It’s sort of a sad story because we know how good he was and he is and he can be,” the two-time English Premier League winner said on the Obi One Podcast.
“Obviously, he’s going through so much. You know who Dele Alli reminds me of? Morgan Rogers that plays for Aston Villa right now. Same kind of player, Morgan Rogers.
“When you see him play, it reminds me of Dele Alli. way they glide when they run past players is just absolutely fantastic to watch both of them.
“So for me, Morgan Rogers is that guy that reminds me of Dele Alli,” Mikel concluded.
