Former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo has thrown his weight behind a Premier League move for Moses Simon, tipping Everton—one of his former clubs—as the perfect destination for the explosive winger amid reported interest from both the Toffees and Marseille.
Simon has been a standout performer for Nantes this season, playing a key role in their battle to retain Ligue 1 status with just two games remaining. His consistent displays have reportedly drawn interest from several clubs across Europe.
However, Yobo believes a move to the Premier League is long overdue for Simon, praising his ability, versatility, and experience.

He sees Everton as an ideal destination, citing the club’s rich football culture and Simon’s suitability for their style of play.
Yobo: Premier League long overdue for Moses Simon
In a recent interview with Africafoot, the former Nigeria captain asserted that Simon is more than ready to take the next step in his career—voicing a clear preference for a move to the English top flight.
“I don't know the truth about the reports that he wants to leave Nantes, but if he were to leave, it would have to be for the Premier League, which is where he plays next. It's long overdue given his ability, versatility, and experience. I mean, why not?
“He is, and has always been, good enough for English football; it's long overdue,” Yobo said.

“And, for me, if he were to go, it would be the highlight of his career, because it's the best and most competitive league in the world. If the reports of Everton's interest are true, and above all, serious, then it would be even better.
“I played on Merseyside for almost a decade, and I know the football culture there; it's enormous. This would be an ideal transfer for him, as his impact and speed are well-suited to Everton.”
Simon has contributed seven goals and nine assists in 30 Ligue 1 appearances for the Canaries this season, underlining his importance to their survival campaign.
