José Mourinho has, in a recent interview, shared his candid thoughts on Napoli star Victor Osimhen, drawing a comparison to the legendary Didier Drogba.

Mourinho praised Osimhen's talent and potential but stressed the need for the Super Eagles star to eliminate bad habits if he hopes to achieve greatness in the Premier League.

At 25 years old, Osimhen is currently one of the most sought-after strikers in the world. He has been linked with numerous top clubs, including French giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Premier League powerhouses Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United.

As of now, none of the clubs interested in the Nigerian forward have met Napoli's asking price of €130 million. This has left the 26-year-old in a state of uncertainty regarding his future, as Napoli's transfer activities this summer are contingent upon his sale.

In a recent interview reported by Football London, Mourinho said: “He is of the same level as Drogba, but Didier didn't dive.”

“If Victor changes, then OK, I'd buy him if I was at a club with a lot of money.

“However, if he does go to England one day, he needs to change, because in Italy they put up with this sort of behaviour, whereas in the Premier League, they'd come down hard on him.”

Interestingly, Osimhen has openly expressed his admiration for Drogba, who scored 104 goals and provided 55 assists at Chelsea from 2004 to 2015, winning two Golden Boots and secured four Premier League titles.
