Falconets Lose Opening World Cup Game

Nigeria’s Super Falconets suffered a 2-0 loss to Spain in their opening game of the under-20 Women’s World Cup on Monday. They were largely underwhelming in the game and were played out of the park.

Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu finally ended a ten-game barren run last weekend, scoring a brace in Trabzonspor’s 5-0 spanking of Corum. However, he left that game with what seemed like an injury.

Ex-Arsenal Man Gets Super Eagles Invite

Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has started handing out invitations to players ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers scheduled for later this month. As of now, one player has been confirmed, and that is former Arsenal man Arthur Okonkwo.
