Chrisantus Uche, Getafe's Nigerian midfielder, was overjoyed after his side secured their first victory of the La Liga season.
A 2-0 win over Alaves, courtesy of goals from Mauro Arambarri and Luis Milla, saw Getafe finally break their winless streak and claim their first three points after eight matches.
Uche, who recently found himself under scrutiny for his outspoken comments on Spanish referees, expressed his gratitude to the fans on social media platform Instagram.
He praised them for their unwavering belief in the team during a difficult period and celebrated the much-needed victory.

The 21-year-old midfielder, who made headlines after scoring on his La Liga debut for Getafe, thanked the supporters for standing by the team during their winless run.
“I am very happy for today’s victory at home. This victory not only brings pride to the team but also to everyone who has supported us,” Uche wrote. “It is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and teamwork that we have put in. I am confident this will be the first of many victories to come.”
Uche also conveyed his appreciation to the loyal Getafe fans, acknowledging their patience and backing through difficult times.

Uche has featured in all eight of Getafe’s La Liga matches this season, scoring one goal.
Despite the win, Getafe remains in 15th place in the La Liga standings, with seven points from eight games.
