At the end of last season, Taiwo Awoniyi’s future at Nottingham Forest was hanging in the balance, as he had one year left on his contract and was a top candidate to leave the City Ground due to his inconsistent game time.

But since the summer started, there hasn’t been a lot of talk about his future.

However, in a shocking move on Saturday evening, news broke that he is set to join newly-promoted Premier League club Coventry City in a permanent transfer. Here’s what we know so far.
