His appointment comes after Justin Madugu was sacked following the disappointment of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations where Nigeria got knocked out in the quarterfinal and failed to qualify for the intercontinental World Cup playoffs.

Joe Aribo Yet To Get A Club

Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo has been without a club since his contract at Southampton expired at the end of last season. During the summer transfer window, he was linked to clubs in Turkey. There was even the suggestion of a Rangers return. But the speculation did not materialize.
