Daniel Ogunmodede has solidified his future with Remo Stars by signing a contract extension that will see him remain at the helm until 2027.
The extension is a testament to the coach's significant contributions and success with the club over the years.
Ogunmodede's journey with Remo Stars began in 2015 when he joined as an Assistant Coach and Head Coach of the Youth Team.
His early involvement laid the groundwork for the club’s future, and he played a key role in their first-ever promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) in 2016 as an assistant to Nduka Ugbade.
Remo Stars full circle for Ogumodede
In 2020, Ogunmodede was appointed Head Coach of the senior team and became the pioneer Director of the club’s Youth Football Development Initiative, which led to the creation of the club’s youth academy, Beyond Limits.
Under his leadership, Remo Stars secured their return to the NPFL, marking a significant milestone in the club's history.

Ogunmodede briefly left for Portugal in 2021 to join the coaching staff at CD Feirense, where he gained valuable international experience.
He returned to Nigeria ahead of the 2022/23 NPFL season and took charge of Remo Stars once again. Ogunmodede then led them to a third place and second place finish in successive seasons.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Ogunmodede expressed his joy at the contract extension, stating, “Saying I am glad is an understatement because this is my club, my project.

“I have been here for a couple of years, working relentlessly, working hard with a consistent behavioral pattern.
“I am happy the club has been able to see what I have done so far and count me worthy of another extension. It is a big motivation for me.”
Ogunmodede and his team are now focused on their upcoming challenge in the CAF Champions League, where they will face Morocco’s AS FAR in a preliminary group stage match this weekend.
