Aina caps November to remember with double honours at Forest

Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has been named Nottingham Forest’s Player of the Month for November, and has also been awarded the club's Goal of the Month, capping off a remarkable month for both club and country.

Aina's strong performances were outstanding, with Forest showing fine form over the month of November.

The highlight of his month came when he scored a stunning strike against West Ham United at the City Ground.

The defender profited from a slip by a West Ham defender just outside the box, Aina controlled the ball and hit a stunning shot with his left foot as Nottingham Forest won 3-0.

It was his first goal of the season and second ever for Forest since his move to the club.

His solid defensive contributions also played a key role in helping the team secure two clean sheets during November.

In total, Aina played five matches for Forest in November, starting every game and accumulating 528 minutes of play with a goal to cap a good month.

Statistically, he was outstanding, registering 7 clearances and 9 interceptions.

Aina also proved a force in the air, winning 11 of 15 aerial duels, and he was equally effective on the ground, winning 11 out of 16 duels.

The 28-year-old’s distribution was equally impressive, completing 92 of 127 passes, alongside 5 successful crosses.

He also attempted 10 long balls, completing 5 of them, and even cleared a ball off the line in a crucial defensive moment.

In total, he has played 36 times for Nottingham Forest, scoring two goals with one assist.
