FK RFS coach Viktors Morozs has stated that Victor Osimhen could have played a pivotal role for Galatasaray during his team's UEFA Europa League clash against the Turkish champions at Daugava Stadium on Thursday.
The Super Eagles forward was sidelined for the match due to an injury sustained during last weekend's Super Lig encounter against Kasımpaşa.
His absence, Morozs noted, significantly impacted Galatasaray's performance, suggesting that with the Nigeria international on the pitch, the match could have unfolded quite differently.

In the aftermath of their stalemate with Galatsaray, Morozs shed light on how the presence of the on-loan Napoli striker could have changed the dynamics of the match.
“It would have been different if Osimhen had played. He would have added strength to Galatasaray.
“Osimhen is a different player than Icardi. In my opinion, he could have passed our defense more easily. It would have been difficult to play against such a forward. His not playing today was a deficiency for Galatasaray.

“Osimhen is a strong and dangerous player. It would have been difficult for us if he had played today,” the Latvian trainer said as per Haber Global.
The 25-year-old has made a significant impact at Galatasaray, being directly involved in five goals over four matches, with two goals and three assists across all competitions.
He is anticipated to return to the pitch in approximately six weeks.
