Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has provided a key update on his future at Galatasaray amid renewed transfer interest this summer, Afrik-Foot reports.
Osimhen has attracted fresh attention from some of Europe’s top clubs ahead of the transfer window, with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid leading the chase and exploring the conditions of a deal this summer.
The 27-year-old only joined Galatasaray last summer on a permanent deal, but questions have continued to emerge over his long-term future at the Turkish club due to growing interest from other European leagues.
Osimhen initially arrived at Galatasaray on loan in 2024 before the move was made permanent the following summer in a deal worth around €75 million, making him the most expensive signing in Turkish football history.

Since then, he has continued to impress, scoring 59 goals in 74 appearances across all competitions. He has also helped the club win three trophies in just two seasons, including a league title last season.
Osimhen shares update on Galatasaray future
As speculation continues over his next move, Galatasaray have repeatedly made it clear they do not want to sell their star striker this summer, as they aim to remain competitive in both domestic and European competitions next season.
When asked about his future, Osimhen expressed happiness at the club and revealed that he is enjoying his time in Turkey.

“I’m happy at Galatasaray. I think it’s the best so far in my career. This place feels like paradise to me. There’s mutual respect between us. They’re respectful not just to me, but to everyone by my side”, Osimhen said, as quoted by Forza Cimbom.
“Every morning when I wake up, I’m grateful. I head to training with a smile on my face every time I put on the jersey. I play for Galatasaray with all my heart. Everything’s good, my family’s good, I’m good.”
What this means for Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and others
Despite Galatasaray’s firm stance that Osimhen is not for sale, it has not stopped several clubs from exploring a potential move this summer as they look to strengthen their squads.
There were previously reports that Galatasaray would only consider offers in the region of €150 million, particularly if the Super Eagles star himself pushes for a transfer, with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid tipped to be his next destination.
Barcelona are searching for a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski, and while Julian Alvarez is their primary target, Osimhen has also been mentioned as an alternative option.
Atletico Madrid are also interested, especially in a scenario where Alvarez moves elsewhere. The Spanish club have also made an offer worth up to €120 million according to reports, although Galatasaray rejected the bid.
Real Madrid and Manchester United have also previously shown interest, but Osimhen’s latest comments suggest a summer move is now unlikely, indicating a clear level of satisfaction at the club.

With that in mind, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid may now have to shift focus to other attacking targets ahead of next season.
Osimhen is now set to remain at Galatasaray beyond this summer, and his focus will shift to helping them compete for domestic success and also mount a serious challenge in their European campaign.
