Super Falcons ever-present and repeat CAF Goalkeeper of the Year award winner Chiamaka Nnadozie has drawn a parallel between herself and Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen is the subject of frenzied transfer speculation, with Galatasaray and parent club Napoli deadlocked in negotiations over payment structures.
For her part, Nnadozie is currently in Morocco campaigning for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title, with the Super Falcons next match being a quarter-final meeting with Zambia.

Chiamaka Nnadozie’s promise to her ‘best friend'
Speaking with journalist Biola Solace-Chukwu, the newly-signed Brighton goalkeeper addressed a long-term concern of Nigeria fans: the consistent presence of strapping on one or both of her knees in matches.
Nnadozie moved to allay fears of a niggling injury, explaining the situation by citing fellow Nigeria international Osimhen. “Victor Osimhen – the face mask he's wearing? He started wearing it because he had something on his face, and now the thing has gone, but he is still wearing it,” she said.

“So, it was an old injury, from the beginning… that was 2022. The injury has gone, but I fell in love with the white strap. It became my best friend. I was like, ‘You helped me when I didn't have the strength.' So I made a promise to the tape: ‘I'm going to keep you.'
“I have no injuries. If you watch me in training, I don't wear anything. It's just for games.”
Nnadozie is, so far, yet to concede a goal at the ongoing WAFCON, but will be sternly tested by Zambia on Thursday.
