Super Eagles forward Moses Simon is reportedly on the verge of obtaining French citizenship, according to influential French outlet L’Équipe.
The 29-year-old FC Nantes winger, who has been a key player for the club since his arrival in 2019, has already begun the naturalisation process.

Simon moved to France six years ago from Spanish club Levante and has since become one of the standout performers in the Nantes squad.
Over the years, he has adapted seamlessly to life in France, learning to speak and write French fluently.
His deep connection to the country played a crucial role in his decision to reject offers from England and Germany two years ago, instead opting to extend his contract with Nantes until June 2026.
He cited proximity to his family in Belgium as a key factor in his decision to stay.
Since joining Nantes, Simon has made a significant impact, recording 35 goals and 39 assists in 190 appearances.
This season alone, he has continued his fine form, scoring six goals and providing seven assists in 21 matches.
His consistent performances have established him as the team’s best player this season.
Simon feels settled in France
Off the pitch, Simon recently celebrated a personal milestone, welcoming his first son in January.

Already a father to two daughters, he continues to thrive both professionally and personally in France.
Simon, who has 72 caps for Nigeria, has also played in Belgium with KAA Gent and in Slovakia with AS Trencin.
If the naturalisation process is completed, Simon will become Franco-Nigerian, as he solidifies his connection to Nantes the country he moved to six years ago from Levante of Spain.
