Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is nearing a move to the Tanzanian Premier League, Afrik Foot reports.
The 29-year-old terminated his contract with Chippa United after the winter transfer window slammed shut, in the hopes of a bigger move.
However, that hasn’t happened, and he’s been left to train individually, given that he no longer has a club.

Stanley Nwabali’s Tanzanian links resurface
The one-time NPFL winner has been urged to join PSL side Kaizer Chiefs by former Super Eagles goalkeeper Idah Peterside, a move that could make him the highest-paid goalkeeper in the league.
However, a move to Tanzania might be on the cards. As per credible East African football agent Edgah Mitemah, 22-time Tanzanian Champions Simba Sports Club are keen on Nwabali’s services.
“Yes, I am aware Simba are looking to sign a goalkeeper, and Nwabali is one of those who has come on their radar at the moment,” the agent said in quotes revealed by Footy Africa.
“I think he will be a huge addition to the Tanzanian league because of his profile, even though I still do not understand why he left Chippa United when he did.”

“There are other clubs like Azam FC who might rival Simba for the goalkeeper, while I am also aware of Kaizer Chiefs’ admiration for him.
“They have been tracking him for some time now. He is a free agent, so it will be easier for Simba to sign him, and I believe the signing-on fee they may offer could tempt him to join.
“They are interested, and the next few days will be very interesting. I will keep you updated with the latest news on the potential move to Tanzania as soon as I have more information,” Mitemah concluded.

While interest continues to circle, Nwabali is currently in personal training with former Super Eagles goalkeeper Greg Etafia.
