Italian side S.S. Lazio have made their position clear over the future of Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Afrik-Foot reports.

According to TMW, the Serie A club owners are willing to listen to offers between €15m and €18m for the Nigeria international this summer.

Lazio are open to parting ways with the former Manchester City academy graduate as they look to reshape their squad ahead of next season. Head coach Maurizio Sarri is understood to have approved the move, signalling that Dele-Bashiru could be one of several players to leave the Stadio Olimpico.

The 25-year-old was already linked with a move away in January, attracting attention from Premier League sides including Nottingham Forest and AFC Bournemouth. While no deal materialised at the time, both clubs are expected to return with renewed interest when the transfer window reopens.

Dele-Bashiru only joined Lazio permanently in 2025 after impressing in Turkey with Hatayspor. His rise to Serie A followed a steady development path that began at Manchester City’s academy before he gained senior experience at Sheffield Wednesday.

A season of limited impact for the Super Eagles ace

Despite arriving with promise, Dele-Bashiru’s second season in Italy has been a mixed one. He has made 17 league appearances so far, but only a handful of those have come as a starter, with manager Sarri considering him as more of a squad option than a key figure.

Injuries have not helped his cause. A hamstring problem earlier in the campaign kept him out for several weeks, disrupting his rhythm at a time when he was hoping to establish himself in Sarri’s midfield.

There have still been flashes of quality. In cup competitions, he managed to contribute a goal and an assist, showing the attacking instincts that made him stand out during his time in Turkey. At Hatayspor, he was a key player, scoring eight league goals and providing three assists in a single season, form that convinced Lazio to bring him to Italy.

On the international stage, he has remained involved with Nigeria, featuring during the Africa Cup of Nations and continuing to build his reputation as a versatile midfielder capable of playing both deeper and further forward.

However, with competition for places high at Lazio and the club looking to refresh their squad, a summer exit now appears likely.

The next move could be crucial for Dele-Bashiru. A return to England may offer him a more familiar environment and regular playing time, especially with interest from the Premier League and Championship. There is also reported attention from Turkey, where he previously thrived, suggesting multiple options are on the table.

What is clear is that Lazio’s valuation has set the stage for negotiations. At €15m to €18m, the club believe they can make a profit on a player who has shown potential but has yet to fully deliver in Serie A. The coming months will reveal whether suitors are willing to meet that price and where Dele-Bashiru’s career heads next.
