Several Super Eagles players were in action for their clubs across Europe on Saturday, with mixed results recorded in different leagues, Afrik-Foot reports.

In the Turkish Super Lig, Victor Osimhen was the hero in Istanbul as his first-half strike powered Galatasaray to a 1-0 derby win at Besiktas.

Osimhen connected with a fine Leroy Sane cross to head home his 11th league goal of the campaign which sent Galatasaray seven points clear at the top of the table.

In Spain, Ademola Lookman played close to an hour as Atletico Madrid claimed an exciting 3-2 La Liga victory over Real Sociedad.

Despite being involved in the lively contest, the Nigerian forward could not register a goal or assist. It is now four games in a row without a direct contribution, suggesting his bright start to life in Spain has slowed slightly.

In Italy, Rafiu Durosinmi featured for Pisa in their heavy 4-0 defeat away to Juventus in Serie A. It was the Nigerian striker’s eighth appearance for the club this season.

His compatriot Ebenezer Akinsanmiro did not take part in the match after being left on the bench by Pisa manager Oscar Hiljemark.

Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye had a night of mixed emotions as his team surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 away at Atalanta.
