Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka delivered an impressive performance as Coventry City F.C. secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion F.C. in the Championship, Afrik-Foot reports.
The Nigerian star, making only his second appearance for Coventry, controlled the midfield throughout the contest. Onyeka played 86 minutes and was later named Player of the Match after a dominant display.
The midfielder completed 73 percent of his passes, created one key chance and contributed defensively with an interception, three clearances, a blocked shot and five ball recoveries. He also won three of his four tackles and claimed eight of 12 duels, helping his side dictate the tempo.

It was another encouraging outing for Onyeka following his strong debut against Middlesbrough F.C., as Coventry recorded back-to-back victories to boost their promotion ambitions.
Under manager Frank Lampard, the Sky Blues continued the momentum from their recent win over Middlesbrough by producing a confident performance at The Hawthorns.

Super Eagles’ Onyeka lift Coventry past West Brom
Coventry took an early lead when Ephron Mason-Clark scored his seventh goal of the season.
The move began after Onyeka won possession in midfield, allowing Milan van Ewijk to set up Mason-Clark, who calmly lifted the ball over goalkeeper Max O’Leary.
The visitors remained on top and nearly doubled their advantage when Joel Latibeaudiere struck the crossbar with a header.

Coventry’s second goal soon followed. After another turnover of possession, Jack Rudoni was given too much space outside the box and fired a powerful left-foot shot from 25 yards to score his first goal in 21 matches.
West Brom attempted to respond through Charlie Taylor and Jayson Molumby, but clear chances were limited. Their only effort on target arrived late when Isaac Price tested the goalkeeper in the 79th minute.Coventry could have added a third goal late on, but Victor Torp missed a good opportunity.
The final whistle was met with boos from home supporters as West Brom’s difficult run continued.
The Baggies remain without a league victory since late December and sit dangerously close to the relegation zone, while Coventry’s winning streak strengthens their push for promotion.
