Super Eagles defender Ryan Alebiosu has drawn praise from Blackburn Rovers in his side’s 1-1 draw against Frank Onyeka’s Coventry City at Ewood Park, Afrik Foot reports.
The wing-back was initially in doubt for the clash, having suffered bruised ribs and a back problem against Southampton, where he was withdrawn at half-time.
He was eventually declared fit, and played all 90 minutes as the Rovers moved a step closer towards Championship safety.

Ryan Alebiosu draws praise in Onyeka’s promotion party
Blackburn Rovers head coach Michael O’Neill was impressed with the defender’s performance against the EFL Championship winners last night.
“Young Kristi [Montgomery] came in and that’s the best game I’ve seen him play since I came to the club. Tom [Atcheson] was terrific again and Ryan [Alebiosu] was fantastic on that side,” the 56-year-old said in quotes revealed by Blackburn’s official website.
“We had really strong performances against the top team in the league but the disappointment was conceding from a free kick right at the end.”

For Frank Onyeka and the rest of the Sky Blue Stars, they needed just a point to secure a return to the English top-flight for the first time since 2001.
Their coach, Frank Lampard, cut an emotional figure after the game and was seen in tears after achieving a huge feat with just a squad that ranks 15th on the EFL Championship wage bill list.
The result confirms that Onyeka will not be returning to Brentford in the summer, but will instead put pen to paper with Coventry, on a permanent deal.

Millwall, Middlesbrough, Southampton, Hull City, and Ipswich Town can still seal second spot before the end of the season.
