Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare came off the bench to net a crucial equalizer for Wolves in their 2-2 draw against Brentford at the Community Stadium on Monday, Afrik-Foot reports.
Arokodare began the match among the substitutes as Wolves traveled to West London. The forward was looking to bounce back from a disappointing outing against Liverpool last weekend, a match in which Wolves fell 3-1.
While he struggled to make an impact in that fixture, he found redemption in front of the Brentford crowd.

Introduced in the 74th minute to replace Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, Arokodare entered the fray with Rob Edwards’ side trailing by a goal. It took him just three minutes to make his mark.
Connecting with an awkward cross from Joao Gomes, the Nigerian international adjusted his positioning brilliantly to steer a well-placed header past Caoimhin Kelleher, leveling the score at 2-2.

Arokodare nearly secured all three points just two minutes later. Pouncing on another precise delivery, his header beat the keeper but rattled off the upright, ensuring the spoils were shared at the final whistle.

Relegation Looming Despite Arokodare’s Heroics
The draw moves Wolves to 17 points after 31 Premier League matches. Currently, they sit 12 points adrift of safety, made more precarious by the fact that the teams immediately above them hold a game in hand.

With only seven games remaining and 21 points left to play for, Rob Edwards and his men require a sporting miracle to avoid the drop—especially as their rivals in the relegation scrap continue to find form.
While Arokodare’s equalizer salvaged a point, a winning goal would have brought Wolves to 20 points, cutting the gap to safety to nine.
Despite the uphill battle, the spirit of the game is to keep believing, and Arokodare will be aiming for a strong individual finish to the campaign.
