Former Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike has taken to social media to mock Trabzonspor following their 3-2 loss to Fenerbahçe on Saturday, Afrik-Foot reports.
Fenerbahçe continued their hot chase of Galatasaray for the Süper Lig title with that victory. At first, it looked like they were not up for the game after conceding a goal courtesy of a strike from Ernest Muçi.
However, the Yellow Canaries fought back with strikes from Talisca and Kerem Aktürkoğlu.

Paul Onuachu equalized before the break, but Marco Asensio restored Fenerbahçe’s lead three minutes after the restart. That goal proved to be the winner, as it ended 3-2 at Papara Park after 90 minutes.
It was the Yellow Canaries’ fifth straight victory over their Trabzon counterparts, and that created some daylight between them at the summit of the Turkish Süper Lig table.
As it stands, Fenerbahçe are three points behind leaders Galatasaray, while Trabzonspor are 10 points away from the summit.

The fixture between Trabzonspor and Fenerbahçe is one of the biggest rivalries in every Turkish Süper Lig season because the two teams are two of the biggest in the country and are always among the competitors for the league title.

In the game between Trabzonspor and Fenerbahçe on Saturday, three Nigerian players were involved: Paul Onuachu, Chibuike Nwaiwu, and Anthony Nwakaeme.
Nonetheless, former Nigeria striker Emmanuel Emenike took to social media to celebrate Fenerbahçe’s win and mock Trabzonspor.
He shared a picture of himself smoking a water pipe, with the scoreline from the match plastered at the bottom. Then, he wrote “Yavaş”, which means slowly

Emenike’s actions do not come as a surprise, as he used to play for Fenerbahce during his playing days. In fact, he was a fan favourite, having led the club to the Turkish Cup abd Turkish Super Cup in 2014 and 2015.
Emenike was a part of the Super Eagles squad that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. He was the highest goalscorer in that tournament and one of Nigeria’s best players.
