The Super Falcons will finish the year in 36th place in the world, according to the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday.

This means the team maintains its global and African position from the last ranking in August 2024.

Before the release of the current ranking, the Super Falcons played three friendly games.

They defeated Algeria 2-0 and 4-1 in a two-legged international and suffered a narrow 2-1 loss to France last month.

Despite gaining 1.2 points to move to 1622.49 from 1621.29 in the previous window, the slight improvement did not affect their ranking.

However, this ranking is far below their best-ever position of 23rd, achieved in June 2004 and March 2005.

What is the Super Falcons' ranking in Africa?

The Super Falcons remain Africa’s number-one women’s team, retaining their top spot.

Banyana Banyana of South Africa follows in second place in Africa and 53rd globally, while Morocco aew third in Africa and 62nd worldwide.

Completing the top ten in Africa are Zambia (63), Ghana (66), Cameroon (68), Ivory Coast (71), Tunisia (78), Mali (81), and Guinea (82).
