Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi’s future is currently uncertain. While he is expected to change clubs in the upcoming transfer window, his next destination remains unknown, Afrik-Foot reports.
Moffi joined Porto in the January transfer window after his relationship with OGC Nice soured following an assault by some of the club’s fans.
A major catalyst for the move was coach Francesco Farioli, who managed him at Nice before leaving for Ajax in 2024.

However, there was no “obligation to buy” clause in his loan contract. Consequently, it was initially expected that he would return to his Ligue 1 parent club at the end of the deal.
Those plans changed last month when Nice’s co-president, Maurice Cohen, confirmed there is no way back for Moffi at the club, meaning a permanent transfer is now a necessity.

Which Club Will Terem Moffi Join?
Following Maurice Cohen’s statement, it is clear that Moffi must find a new employer this summer. However, pinpointing his next destination is difficult. Although he is currently on loan at Porto, the chances of him joining the club permanently are slim.
The Dragons’ first-choice striker, Samu Aghehowa Omorodion, suffered a season-ending injury in February. Despite this, Moffi has not been guaranteed playing time, as Farioli has often preferred Deniz Gül as his primary target man.

If Aghehowa were to return now, Moffi would likely drop to third-choice striker—an arrangement he would certainly find unacceptable.
Coach Farioli recently admitted that Porto is weighing the possibility of signing Moffi permanently, but noted that such a deal would require significant concessions from all parties, making the transfer complicated.
Porto Might Snub Moffi for Robert Lewandowski
As Moffi’s future remains unresolved, Porto is reportedly looking at other options. According to Transfer News Live, the club is seriously interested in signing Robert Lewandowski.
The Polish striker is set to leave Barcelona at the end of the season following the expiration of his contract, and Porto is said to be “pushing hard” for his signature.
Although Lewandowski turns 38 this year, he remains one of the greatest players to ever grace the pitch, having displayed world-class quality at Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona.

Securing Lewandowski would be a massive boost for Porto, but he would undoubtedly displace everyone else in the striking department. Moffi would bear the brunt of this move; if Porto lands Lewandowski, they will almost certainly pass on signing the Nigerian international.
The next few weeks will be pivotal for Moffi’s career. Although he recently won his first career title with Porto, consistent playing time remains his utmost priority.
