Trabzonspor head coach Fatih Tekke has weighed in on Paul Onuachu’s goalscoring form in the Turkish Super Lig this season, Afrik Foot reports.
The 31-year-old striker has been in red-hot form this season, scoring 18 league goals in 20 starts, the highest of any player in Turkiye.
Still, Tekke has highlighted that the Nigerian could’ve scored much more if he’d improved certain aspects of his game.

Fatih Tekke urges Onuachu to improve away from goals
While the striker is on course to win the Golden Boot, Trabzonspor’s head coach has demanded more from him as they push for Champions League football.
“I think Onuachu needs to score more goals. That’s the kind of player,” the 48-year-old said in quotes revealed by Turkiye Gazetesi.

“Onuachu’s training is all about practice. It’s a professional practice. Onuachu gives 100% in every practice.”
“Onuachu sometimes does very little of what I want in the game, pisses me off, but his training is 100%.
“There’s always a goal. He deserves respect and applause. He doesn’t have to score.
“When he gives us the fighting spirit, he passes it to us. We’re so lucky to have him,” the ex-Zenit Saint-Petersburg striker concluded.
