The summer transfer window is open, and several Super Eagles stars and hopefuls have been making moves, Afrik-Foot reports.
Despite the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup, many transfer deals have been taking place, and there are still a lot more expected to happen.
Nigerian players have been at the center of transfer gossip, with some stars expected to switch clubs this summer.

Since Victor Osimhen’s surprise transfer to Galatasaray, many Nigerian players have been linked to the Turkish Süper Lig. This summer, that speculation has continued.
In this article, Afrik-Foot writes about five Super Eagles players who could leave their clubs for the Süper Lig this summer.
1. Ademola Lookman

Super Eagles attacker Ademola Lookman has been linked with a transfer to the Süper Lig this summer, with Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray touted as potential destinations.
These clubs showed interest in signing him last summer before his transfer to Atlético Madrid, but they were unable to pull off the deal.
However, it is unlikely they will succeed this time, as Lookman only just joined Atleti, and he is happy there.
2. Maduka Okoye

Maduka Okoye had arguably his best season at Udinese. He was one of the best goalkeepers in Serie A.
With his contract expiring in two years, the former Watford man has been linked with an exit. Juventus appeared to be the only club interested in him, but yesterday, reports emerged that former Süper Lig champions Beşiktaş were plotting a transfer.
In truth, a deal could happen, as Okoye is valued at around €10 million and Beşiktaş is a prestigious club. However, the Super Eagles goalie will likely prioritize staying in one of the top five leagues.
3. Calvin Bassey

Calvin Bassey is unarguably the best Super Eagles defender at the moment. He has been great for both club and country.
Over the last two seasons at Craven Cottage, he has distinguished himself as one of the best in England. Consequently, there have been calls for a bigger club to sign him.
In the meantime, Süper Lig giants Fenerbahçe are targeting him as they look to bolster their squad in a bid to win the league.
There are reports that the club president has already traveled to England to open talks with Bassey over a possible transfer, but nothing concrete has emerged yet. However, there is still time for a deal to be reached.
4. Samuel Chukwueze

Samuel Chukwueze’s future is also in the balance. He spent last season at Fulham on loan from AC Milan, but he has now returned to Italy. However, the Nigerian is still seen as a peripheral figure at the club. As a result, he could leave.
Chukwueze has recently been linked to Trabzonspor, who finished third in the Süper Lig. However, securing his services could be difficult due to AC Milan’s €26 million valuation.
5. Rafiu Durosinmi

Rafiu Durosinmi is another player who could be on his way to the Turkish Süper Lig this summer. He joined Pisa from Viktoria Plzeň in January, but he has had a tough time so far.
Now, Trabzonspor, who are looking for a new striker due to Paul Onuachu’s possible exit, believe Durosinmi would be a very good addition.
The 23-year-old would be an affordable signing, as Pisa might demand a reasonable fee before they sanction the deal.
