Reports in Italy indicate Udinese have set a €12 million price tag on Nigerian shot-stopper Maduka Okoye, who is being targeted by Serie A champions Inter Milan.
Earlier this week, transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reported the Nerazzurri are seeking a reliable backup goalkeeper for first-choice goalkeeper Yann Sommer, and the Nigeria international is one of three candidates being considered for the role.
After being an unused substitute for 16 consecutive Serie A matches, Okoye replaced Marco Silvestri as Udinese's first-choice goalkeeper in the latter half of the recently concluded season.
The 24-year-old made 21 appearances for Udinese, conceding 25 goals and keeping five clean sheets. He was also featured in the Serie A Team of the Week on two occasions.
Inter Milan weighs options: Okoye, Bento, or Martínez for goalkeeping reinforcement
The Italian champions face a crucial decision in bolstering their goalkeeping ranks, considering Udinese's €12 million asking price for Maduka Okoye as per Sempre Inter.
The Nigerian's impressive performances have helped Udinese retain their top-flight status, making him an attractive prospect.

However, Inter are also eyeing Brazilian goalkeeper Bento Matheus Krepski of Athletico Paranaense, valued at €12 million, and Spanish goalkeeper Josep Martínez of Genoa, valued at €8 million.
Bento offers a similar age profile and potential as Okoye, while Martínez presents a more economical option with European experience.
Maduka Okoye unused in Super Eagles' stalemate with Bafana Bafana
Maduka was an unused substitute in Nigeria's 1-1 stalemate with South Africa in the 2026 World Cup qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Friday, with Stanley Nwabali trusted between the sticks.
Okoye returned to the team after a hiatus since the conclusion of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon. Since his debut in 2019 in a friendly against Brazil, the 24-year-old has represented the Super Eagles on 16 occasions.
