Unity Cup: Super Eagles camp opens as 14 NPFL and Europe-based stars land in London

The Super Eagles’ camp has officially opened in London as Eric Chelle begins preparations for the 2026 Unity Cup, Afrik-Foot reports.

​On Wednesday, Chelle revealed his squad for both the Unity Cup and the upcoming June friendly matches against Portugal and Poland.

​The Unity Cup roster primarily features Nigeria Premier Football League stars alongside players competing outside of Europe’s top five leagues.

​Ahead of the tournament’s kickoff on May 26, players have already begun arriving at the base. On Saturday morning, Super Eagles media officer Promise Efoghe announced that 14 players had officially reported to the London camp.

​Among the early arrivals from Europe are Terem Moffi, Tochukwu Nnadi, Arthur Okonkwo, Owen Oseni, Femi Azeez, and Philip Otele.

​The home-based stars have also touched down, with Shooting Stars’ poster boy Junior Abayomi reporting to camp alongside Elias Ocholi, Michael Atata, and a few others.

The team will hold their first training session at Cray Valley FC, in London.

More players are expected to link up with the squad in the coming days. The Super Eagles’ first game of the Unity Cup is on May 26 against Zimbabwe, and they will be looking claim the victory and seal a slot in the final.
