Victor Osimhen was unhappy with the condition of the RAMS Park pitch despite Galatasaray’s 2-0 win over VfB Stuttgart in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
The Super Eagles striker struggled to find his footing on the worn-out surface and repeatedly complained to the coaching staff about the state of the pitch.
At one point, Osimhen’s foot appeared to get caught in the turf as he tried to play the ball. The incident added to his frustration, with the poor surface making it difficult for him to move freely.
Cameras captured the Galatasaray forward approaching the bench to complain about the pitch while his teammates celebrated two early goals from Aleksey Batrakov.
Victor Osimhen, in the race for a Super Lig Golden Boot, had a frustrating night in front of goal. He took eight shots in 90 minutes but managed to put only two on target.

The 27-year-old, whose stats shows he is one of Europe’s best, completed 12 of his 17 passes, committed two fouls, won one foul and made two clearances.
Stuttgart’s defenders also gave him little room to operate, making it difficult for him to get into good scoring positions.
Okan Buruk backs Victor Osimhen over poor pitch conditions
Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk also criticised the state of the pitch after the match, saying it made life difficult for both teams.
“We were tired, the pitch conditions tired both teams. It wasn’t good, it affected both teams,” Buruk said at his post-match press conference.
Galatasaray made a flying start, however, as Batrakov scored in the 12th and 15th minutes to give the hosts a two-goal lead.
Stuttgart pushed for a response after the break, but goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakır made four saves to keep them out and secure the clean sheet.

Galatasaray finished with 53 per cent possession and completed 385 passes, compared with Stuttgart’s 344.
Galatasaray boost Champions League hopes
The win took Galatasaray to six points from four Champions League matches, giving them a second victory in the competition.
The Turkish side also ended a 32-year wait for a home win against German opposition.
Stuttgart suffered their first defeat in this season’s European campaign and stayed on seven points.
Galatasaray followed up their 4-2 win over Lille with another victory, strengthening their position in the race for a place in the knockout rounds.
