Victor Osimhen would be a difficult asset to prise away from Galatasaray during the January transfer window as top clubs again begin to monitor the Nigerian striker.
Manchester United may have to wait until summer 2027 to sign Victor Osimhen, with Galatasaray reportedly unwilling to sell the Nigerian striker in January.
United have made an initial enquiry about the 27-year-old as they look to boost their attack with a proven goalscorer.
Osimhen has been in fine form for Galatasaray this season with the Super Eagles striker netting ten goals already in the Super Lig and the Champions League.
However, Galatasaray are determined to keep their leading forward for the rest of the 2026-27 season, making a January move difficult for United.

Victor Osimhen: Why January could be too soon for Man United
According to Turkish-football, Galatasaray are ready to reject January bids for Osimhen as they chase domestic and European success.
The Istanbul club lead the Süper Lig and are also competing in the UEFA Champions League. Losing their main striker midway through the season would be a major blow to their ambitions.
Finding a suitable replacement in January would also be difficult, particularly for a player who has already proved his worth in Turkey.
Osimhen has scored nine goals and provided three assists in eight Süper Lig appearances this season. He has also scored once in two Champions League matches.
His latest goal came on October 30, when he opened the scoring in Galatasaray’s 4-0 win over Konyaspor. That strike raised his status among Galatasaray’s all-time goalscorers.
His form explains why United are interested, but the Turkish club has little reason to let him go before the end of the season.

Why summer 2027 could be the best opportunity
A move at the end of the season would give United, who could have signed Osimhen last summer, a better chance of negotiating a deal without disrupting Galatasaray’s campaign.
Signing Osimhen would not come cheap. Reports suggest a potential fee of at least £100 million, while his wages would also be a major consideration.
Osimhen is under contract until 2029, leaving Galatasaray in a strong position. The club is under no immediate pressure to sell and can afford to wait for an offer that suits them.
A summer move would also give Osimhen time to finish the season in Istanbul before deciding whether to take on a new challenge in the Premier League.
He has enjoyed strong support from Galatasaray fans, and helping the club win the league or make a deep run in the Champions League would give him a chance to end the campaign on a high.
