Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen has dropped his clearest hint yet that he could remain at Galatasaray next season despite strong transfer interest from several of Europe’s biggest clubs, Afrik-Foot reports.
The Super Eagles forward was at the centre of emotional celebrations on Saturday after Galatasaray secured another Turkish Super Lig title ahead of fierce rivals Fenerbahçe.
The Istanbul giants claimed the league crown for the fourth consecutive season, once again leaving Fenerbahçe frustrated in second place despite a long title challenge during the campaign.
Osimhen, who initially joined Galatasaray on loan in 2024 before completing a permanent transfer less than a year ago, played a major role in the club’s successful title defence. The 27-year-old has now won a second Super Lig crown with the club and remains one of the most decisive forwards in European football.

His performances have again attracted attention from several elite clubs across Europe. In England, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United are all reportedly monitoring his situation.
Spanish giants Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have also been linked with the former Napoli striker, while Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are believed to have the former Lille man on their shopping list.
But moments after helping Galatasaray win another league title, Osimhen’s focus appeared fixed firmly on Istanbul and on extending his dominance over Fenerbahçe.

Victor Osimhen targets Fenerbahçe during live celebration
Speaking during a live social media broadcast after the title celebrations against Antalyaspor, Victor Osimhen repeatedly mocked Galatasaray’s rivals while promising supporters that the club would return even stronger next season.
“Greetings to everyone. Greetings to all Galatasaray fans around the world. Greetings to my people,” Osimhen said as per Sabah.
“It gets boring when someone else becomes champion, because they don’t know how to celebrate like we do.”
The Nigerian forward then turned his attention directly towards Fenerbahçe.
“You’re just trying. Keep trying. Keep working, you know? Keep training. That’s all you can do.”
Osimhen also praised teammate Barış Alper Yılmaz for his aggressive style of play.
“Barış plays like he’s an African guy. He has that instinct, man. Bro, this guy is incredibly hungry. He’s very strong. Too strong, bro. Really too strong. When I first came here, I saw how he played and I told Dries too.”
The 2023 Africa Footballer of the Year then made comments that many Galatasaray supporters could interprete as a promise that he would stay for another title defence next season.
“We’ll be back next season. We’re coming. Istanbul is ours. We, we, we. We’ll handle it. I promise you. You’re just trying. Keep trying!”
Osimhen continued: “I told the people in the hospital to treat me quickly. Because it gets boring when someone else is the champion. They don’t know how to celebrate like we do. That’s why we need to keep winning.”
The former Napoli striker also warned rivals that Galatasaray would return with even greater intensity next season.

“We’ll be back next season with the same hunger. Many of you can’t do anything! Whatever you do, you can’t stop me, you can’t stop us! You won’t be able to stop us!
“It seems like Galatasaray fans have filled the streets of Istanbul. They’re celebrating, you know. I told you, my friend. I told you. We are the best. We’ve said this many times. And we’ll be back next season with the same hunger!”
Osimhen also pointed to Galatasaray’s growing global influence and the exposure the Turkish league has gained in recent years.
“We have been promoting the Turkish League to the world for years. We are making both the country and the league more noticeable. Next season we will be even better and represent Galatasaray even better.”
Victor Osimhen began his European journey after leaving Nigeria in 2016, featuring for VfL Wolfsburg, Sporting Charleroi, Lille and Napoli before becoming Galatasaray’s leading figure in Istanbul.
