Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen ended his Turkish Süper Lig season on a high, netting in Galatasaray’s 2-0 win over Istanbul Basaksehir on the final day of the campaign.

Osimhen’s goal, coming in the second half, was likely his last for the club, as speculation about his next move grows.

In front of a buzzing Rams Park crowd on Friday night, the Nigerian star gave fans one more moment to savour.

He returned to the starting line up after missing the penultimate match and was a constant threat, leading most of Galatasaray’s attacking play.

Dries Mertens opened the scoring in the 17th minute from the penalty spot, setting off early celebrations among the home supporters.

Osimhen picked up a yellow card just before half-time but made up for it with a late goal.

In the 81st minute, he rose highest to meet a cross and powered home a header to seal the win, his 26th goal of the season.

He was substituted in the 88th minute, making way for Eze Akman, and left the pitch to a loud ovation from the Galatasaray fans, grateful for his contribution throughout the campaign.
