Wilfred Ndidi: Fresh Besiktas update emerges for Manchester United-linked Super Eagles star

Published on by

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has returned to training at Besiktas after missing the last two weeks due to a muscle injury, Afrik-Foot reports.

Ndidi has been a consistent performer for Besiktas since his arrival from Leicester City in the summer. He has featured in 22 games, with two goals and one assist to his name.

He has started in every game for which he has been available so far. However, two weeks ago, news broke that he had sustained a muscle injury that would keep him sidelined for a short while.

That injury kept Ndidi out of the Black Eagles’ last two games against Antalyaspor and Samsunspor.

Over the last two weeks, the Super Eagles midfielder has been sharing images of himself working in the gym. Today, he was spotted in training with the rest of his teammates.

This means that Ndidi will be available for Besiktas’ next game against Antalyaspor in the Turkish Cup playoffs on Thursday.

Wilfred Ndidi Targeting Solid End to Super Lig Season Amid Manchester United Links

With only a few weeks until the end of the season, most teams are looking to end the campaign on a solid note. Wilfred Ndidi’s Besiktas currently sit 4th in the Super Lig with 55 points from 30 games.

As things stand, the Black Eagles cannot win the Super Lig unless something catastrophic happens to the teams ahead of them.

Nonetheless, they will be very keen on ending the season on a strong note. A fourth-place finish in the league will see them secure a place in the UEFA Conference League.

Meanwhile, the club will be hoping to keep Ndidi moving forward. The Super Eagles star has been heavily linked with Manchester United in recent weeks, but nothing concrete has emerged.

Ndidi has been one of their best players so far, and they will be looking to keep him on their side of Istanbul for as long as possible.
