Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi could be on his way out of Besiktas this summer, Afrik-Foot reports.
Ndidi joined the Turkish side from Leicester City in a deal worth €8 million last summer. However, he endured a difficult debut season, contributing two goals and one assist in 25 appearances.
Besiktas performed well below expectations, finishing fourth and trailing the league leaders, Galatasaray, by 17 points.

As one of Turkey’s most biggest clubs, the Black Eagles are traditionally expected to challenge for the title, making last season a major disappointment.
This failure ultimately cost head coach Sergen Yalcin his job; the club confirmed his departure last month, leaving a vacancy at the helm.
Following weeks of speculation, Besiktas announced on Friday that Vincenzo Italiano has been appointed as the new head coach.

Italiano arrives following a two-year stint at Bologna, having previously managed Fiorentina and Spezia.
Will Wilfred Ndidi Fit Italiano’s Plans?
According to Kartal Record, Ndidi may be one of the players deemed surplus to requirements following Italiano’s arrival.
There are concerns that the Nigerian international does not fit the new manager’s tactical system.

Consequently, Besiktas are expected to sign a different type of defensive midfielder this summer, a move that would significantly jeopardize Ndidi’s playing time.
Although Ndidi was previously linked with a move to Manchester United, that possibility appears increasingly unlikely as the Premier League side is close to signing Ederson from Atalanta.
It remains to be seen whether the Black Eagles will officially part ways with the Super Eagles star.
Given that management holds him in high regard, there is a slim possibility that Italiano may be willing to tweak his tactical approach to accommodate the midfielder.
