Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi played a key role for Leicester City in their final home game of the Premier League season, helping the Foxes secure a 2-0 win over Ipswich Town at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

Despite their confirmed relegation, Leicester were determined to end their campaign on a positive note in front of their home fans, and Ndidi’s performance was central to that effort.

Veteran striker Jamie Vardy gave Leicester the lead in the 28th minute, pouncing on a loose ball in the box to fire past the Ipswich goalkeeper.

Ndidi, operating in his familiar midfield role, was solid throughout the first half. He broke up play, won key duels, and kept Ipswich from building any real momentum.

The second half saw Leicester continue to control proceedings, and they doubled their lead in the 69th minute.

Ndidi was involved again, this time turning provider for Kasey McAteer, who scored to make it 2-0.

Ndidi was substituted in the 88th minute after a hard-working display, making way for Oliver Skipp as Leicester looked to close out the match with fresh legs in midfield.

It was a fitting home farewell for the Foxes, who will now look ahead to life in the Championship.
