Zadok Yohanna: AIK respond to links from German clubs for Nigerian talent

Published on by

Swedish club AIK have revealed they are yet to receive any concrete offers for Nigerian youngster Zadok Yohanna, Afrik-Foot reports.

Reports had recently emerged linking the highly-rated teenager with a move to the Bundesliga, with the likes of Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen joining the race for his signature ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 18-year-old only joined AIK in 2025 after leaving Nigerian Academy side Ikon Allah and has quickly become one of the most talked-about young players in recent weeks.

Yohanna has enjoyed a rapid rise, particularly since the turn of the year and has registered four goals and three assists across all competitions. He notably scored the winning goal in AIK’s 2-1 victory over Halmstad in their 2026 league opener, giving his side a perfect start to the season.

The young attacker, who has been tipped for a long-term future role in the Nigerian senior national team setup, has attracted attention for his exciting style of play and is particularly dangerous when cutting in from wide areas and taking on defenders.

Few would have predicted the level of impact Yohanna would make after arriving at AIK in 2025 and he has already developed into one of the club’s most consistent performers in just a year.

His performances have attracted interest across Europe, with scouts from more than 10 clubs attending matches to watch him in action and have been keeping tabs on his progress.

Despite this growing interest, AIK are yet to receive any formal offers for Yohanna from any club and have not opened talks with any of the interested clubs, according to Footy-Africa.

However, they have slapped a valuation in the region of €20-25 million on the 18-year-old and are almost resigned to losing him to a bigger club in the summer.

For now, Yohanna’s focus will be on maintaining his impressive form as he looks to strengthen his chances of securing a high-profile move very soon and with his contract running until 2029, AIK remain firmly in control of his situation.
